MISSIONS SA is the modern system of waste deposition, ie " landfill." all know that garbage is not transformed or recycled must be stored somewhere, well, this storage place until a few years in our province, was known as the "garbage" ... Well known to us, we know all that entails (pollution, disease, proliferation of vectors, etc.).

However, this is a modern system of waste storage is based on membranes that provide a physical barrier to prevent contact with the surrounding natural resources.

Then this, the fluids pass through a wetland, a sort of artificial pond where cattails were planted. These plants absorb heavy metals that may contain liquids, and then when they turn their life cycle, are thrown dried filling.

Once the liquid meets all this treatment is eventually discharged into a stream in the area, always controlling quality and composition, not to exceed the permitted values.

can therefore say that Fachinal not a "dump more", but a plant solid waste treatment that eliminates open dumps or any other deposit of waste, focussing on all Stuffed Health, where their provision is subject to stringent pollution controls that make it a safe and free of harmful effects to the environment, unlike the known landfills.

Some interesting facts:

Misiones province has two landfills, one for the south located in Fachinal Caraguatay and the other to the north.
