How To Make A Tiki Hut Cake

From Missions to Russia ...

Yerba mate, a native of Misiones and producing the same, starting this year will be marketed in Russia. The markets have been extended to the other side of the world, expanding the scope of this herb so consumed by thousands of Argentines day.
The yerba mate is part of the lives of Argentines and Paraguayans, Brazilians and Uruguayans. It is inevitable not start the day with a good mate, then follow it at work or college and in the afternoon continue with a tereré (infusion is prepared also with yerba mate, but instead of hot water, he made juice or water with herbs).
On these sides, it is common to serve the mate in a gourd or pumpkin leather covered wood or metal. However, the Russians will kill you, but not in a wooden gourd, but in a glass container. Prefer to use glass timber by the fact that the latter with moisture generates growth mushrooms and adjust them because according to taste.
While every day is exported larger quantities of grass, about 100 thousand kilos, the price is relatively expensive, a half-kilo pack costs 500 rubles, or about $ 50 AR. But hey, it's a daily practice that will recruit new adherents among the Russian and Lebanese, which also consume yerba mate, also known as Green Gold.

Cost Of A Retaining Wall

Myths and legends of the street Rioja

Here I present the second part of the history of the street Rioja, where we get into the myths, legends and anecdotes to keep this street people.

Like any social space, Calle La Rioja is made up of many stories and many stories that reconstruct its history through what they have neighbors, which reflect their buildings and all the symbolic story that unfolds over the route. Going from Avenida Corrientes to the Paraná River, we review these discursive elements starting with the club Bartolomé Mitre, who was and still is a renowned sports institution at the provincial level and over the years became one of the centers for social gatherings there were parties, carnivals, etc. Continuing our way we probably soon most important symbolic cultural element of all La Rioja, San Martín Square. This is a colorful space, surrounded by native vegetation, games for children, a monument to San Martín, a place to skate and other elements that shape it and give family and cultural dye. They bring together school children and parents with their children, people leaving work and eat there, artisans, chippers and even part of one of the city at the time of demonstrations, speeches, campaigns, etc..

few blocks to the side of the river, in La Rioja and Columbus, we came to the Polo shop the story contains more sympathetic than our respondents told us. It turns out that many years ago there was an old rustic house built with bricks and mud set, such was its historical representation that the mayor's office decided to declare Historical and Cultural City. But owners who occasionally went to the scene, they saw no benefit in this economic situation as the day after the announcement quickly began to destroy what was no longer property, but a source of income (commercial , offices, etc.). The truth is that this house is not completely lost as they are still retains a stone that was part of it and you can see on a stand that goes almost unnoticed inches from the corner. This is one of the events that we believe can not forget the street so funny and also historic because this stone is also some way to all the old houses that are no longer and only remain in memory neighbors.

few meters later, we find a building that until recently was occupied by the intransigent party and lived moments of political importance, but today is no more and there is an art academy. Between Buenos Aires and Rivadavia arrive at one of the buildings that marked the history of the street because it was housed inside one of the largest newspapers in the region, territory, and since the late '70 EBY houses. Both one and the other assumed various forms of social interaction, the first from a blackboard placed in the path that the latest reported received and warned the neighbors by firecrackers that were new to read, and the second transformed into an area of \u200b\u200bdispute between the bi-national institution and relocated.
On the other hand, more and more near the Paraná, we find a place that once was the first woodworking and furniture of the city fifty years ago ago, began this venture Vuotto family that gave so many returns. And a few meters away, on the corner of La Rioja and February 3, we find the most important story we heard, the murder of poet and journalist Manuel Antonio Ramírez.

After walking across La Rioja, we identified the largest concentration symbolic one located between Ayacucho and San Luis. There senses are mixed between state and private education (Institute School Number 1 and Antonio Ruiz de Montoya) media (Channel 12), the attempt of political interaction with the M-Bya Guarani community (Council of Elders and Chiefs ) and the city as circulation space, recreation, entertainment, etc. (Plaza San Martín). The stories, the symbols mentioned above, get richer with political figures and their relatives arising from this street and that residents are responsible for stress and inserted into the speech, in some cases we have the strength of a neighbor who has known but at the same time with some discomfort to their management. Thus came the grandparents of former Gov. Carlos Rovira, the Iturrieta, Miguel Angel Alterach and out of politics, the grandfather of the famous tennis player José "Chucho" Acasuso. And on the other hand, one of the facts that we noticed was that several neighbors proudly told us "our street has its assassinations", referring to Ramirez and also the famous murder of Mr. Valdez, husband of the notary García.

Street Stories "Rioja" Panoramic views of Iguazú

This time I'll upload a job I did in conjunction with my colleague Mark Magaz to the chair of Discursive Practices II on the streets of the city of Posadas. Assigned to us the street "La Rioja" were recounting all the experiences from its official history to the story told by the villagers themselves, their stories, their myths and legends.
A story that deserves to be read to be discovered through the streets of the transformations that lived and live in the city of Posadas. A story recreated through the testimony of neighbors who agreed to be interviewed. Then the first part of the story.

La Rioja: uses and appropriations

Street La Rioja is number 42 of the city and its name was placed "in fraternal tribute to the province of Argentina " [1] , its location is in the 159/160 block of West to East. So far, this is the official definition of our street, but also has a story, told by the neighbors, we can know from a viewpoint based on experiences. For starters, until about forty years Rivadavia asphalt and then came up the gravel road was the river to the coast. In this part of La Rioja, were such the ditches that separated the sidewalk from the street, neighbors placed boards as a bridge to pass; clear that in any trench used to be visited by the "Gurises" of neighborhood , playing happily, every now and then fell completely out there and dirty, for discontent from their mothers.
Throughout its history, La Rioja was reappropriated by the people who gave different uses both holiday and political. In principle, from the decade of 60s and 70s used to be parades on May 25 and July 9 organized Roque by the school (then exclusively for boys) and had the presence of the armed forces, the tour begins at the corner of Entre Rios and Columbus, then passed through La Rioja in wrong way and were up by Felix de Azara Plaza 9 de Julio, which ended with the main event. Then, just a few years ago the arrival of the fiscal quarter that Picasso did it install a way to celebrate Christmas in the community who also performed on other downtown streets, the street was closed between May 25 and General Paz , were placed tables, a tree with lights and the neighbors were celebrating together in the light of the large number of rockets that brought the tax itself Brazil. However, it lasted five or six years just because Picasso moved. Finally, another moment of cutting the road that most remember and repeat the neighbors with a hint of displeasure were the pickets of the relocated by Yacyretá Binational Entity (EBY), which began already in 1977 with Palanqueros, the barn and fishermen. This result was repeated in 1998 and two years and also at times in 2007. How do
neighbors over time on La Rioja? Does it grow out? From what can be seen in the newspapers, television, radio, etc. Guest seems to be a city that is evolving in their infrastructure. Without going any further, now the Plaza 9 de Julio is being completely remodeled while Junin Street has gone through two years of constant rebuilding. "We are working , we're growing " pray Municipality cartels in every work that is installed in the city. How does this in La Rioja? All our interviewees agree with the discourse of development and growth, welcoming the reforms. But, leave a space for memory and notes with some nostalgia that there are fewer family homes in the neighborhood and more shops, offices, etc. Adding to this already very few historical neighbors are being in place. This nostalgia is due to the identity of the street that was built from the interaction between families and old people who are still there, you were giving way to neighborhood. A neighborhood famous for being "a quiet (...) In good neighbors, there is warmth, no respect, no coexistence, which is basically like every ward ."
[ 2] Description it that is shared by the rest of the respondents who agree in pointing to the neighborhood as a place "familiero."
